RTC-ST Module upgrade for the SC4500 Controller

The RTC-ST (sludge thickening) controller optimises polymer dosing rate or feed flow rate in mechanical sludge thickening on biological waste water treatment plants. Based on the current solids load (based on measured TSS concentration and flow rate) in the feed flow, either the polymer dosing rate or the feed flow rate is controlled.

The control module features the capability to combine feed forward and feed back control advantages when applying TSS measurements for the inflow in combination with TSS measurement in the thickened sludge or in the filtrate. The thickened sludge TSS measurement is automatically compensated to allow for interference in the operation of the hopper pump due to hopper filling and emptying cycles.

If input signals for inflow or TSS concentration are not available the system automatically switches to fallback strategies.
